Yoga Mudras are a set of hand gestures that help to focus and balance the five elements that exist within the human body. The Prithvi Mudra is so called because it helps to equalize the element of Prithvi or earth within the body.
This Mudra is also said to activate the Root Chakra.
The element Prithvi - earth, is a vital component of bodily tissues and internal organs. This element builds and invigorates the tissues and increases vitality, strength and endurance.
How - Join the tip of the ring finger and tip of the thumb . Do this on both hands.
When - This can be done at any time of the day. Do it when you are relaxing with one of our face packs on, or when you have your feet soaking in our soothing mint footsoak, or even during your walks.
Some of its many effects - The fingers used in this mudra represent fire (thumb) and earth (ring finger). Since these elements have opposing qualities, Prithvi mudra when formed cools the body and helps overcome -

Performing this mudra for 30 to 40 minutes each day can lead to effective visual results, else can be done for a minimum of 10-15 minutes as part of regular yoga practice.
