Summers take a toll on the skin every year. The scorching heat, pollution, humidity, dust, wipes off the natural glow, and sometimes, even brings forth infections. To avoid all these and to keep skin radiating with health and vitality , here are some ways to sail through the season effortlessly -
Basic skincare ground rule is to exfoliate your skin. Your body sheds skin cells at an amazing rate through the day. If you don't get rid of them, they'll stay on your skin making it look dull and dry. No matter how much other skin products you use, you're never going to have glowing if you don't exfoliate. Grab a body scrub and hit the showers. Gently rub this scrub / exfoliator in circular movements on your entire body from the shoulders down (use a facial exfoliator for your face and neck) and rinse clean. Continue to do this 2-3 times a week for beautiful skin through the season and through the year.
Buy a sunscreen that has UVA and UVB with SPF 0r more. Reapply it every 1-2 hours that you are in the sun to ensure a summer full of safe sun fun.
3. Go for minimal make-up
During summers less make-up is best. Use gel-based make-up to give you a natural, fuss-free flawless look and feel.
4. Stay Hydrated
Higher temperatures and more time outdoors leads to internal dehydration, which can result in headaches and dizzy spells. Drink 8 glasses of plain, filtered water every day help maintain moisture balance of the body and skin, and assist in detoxification.
5. Don't forget your feet
Give yourself an at-home pedicure. You scrub off the dead dry skin to reveal your sandal ready feet. Keep a foot scrub and file in your shower and scrub your feet a few times a week. You'll notice a big difference in the softness and look of your feet.
