Self - Love

Self-love is important to living well. It influences every aspect of your life and determines how you cope with the varied aspects of your life.

What is self-love? 
Is it something you can buy with a beauty makeover or a new set of clothing? The answer is NO.

Although they make you feel good, the feeling is not long lasting. Since, self-love is not simply a state of feeling good.
Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological and spiritual growth.



1) You are Enough.

Society dictates our worth by the number of external achievements – like having a big house, successful career, beautiful partner and a body shape as in the glossies.

The truth is your worth is not seen like this. Your worth is you being yourself, doing exactly what you have been put on this earth to do, with all your imprefections.

2. Do not compare.

Everyone is different and that's how nature intended it to be. What's the purpose in comparing ? Do you know the exact situations and circumstances in the life of the other? No. We do not. So why bother comparing and destroying yourself in the bargain. You are special. Everyone is unique in their own way. 

3. Forgive yourself.

As humans, we are always tough on ourselves. we need to accept our humanness and forgive ourselves. It doesnt mean, however, that we should keep repeating the same mistakes, we must learn from them, forgive ourselves and move on. 

4. Focus on your strengths.

You manifest what you focus on – so focus on your strengths and unique gifts and make them grow. Focus on what you do well, instead of only seeing what went wrong.

Stop self-criticism and go with  praise and acknowledge of your successes and achievements, and you'll notice not only your confidence growing, but you will grow into your full potential.

5. Leave your past behind

Your past does not define you – because in every single moment you are a new person. When you forgive your past you are free to become who you desire to be and live the life you were born to live.

6. Self-care is essential. It is not being selfish.

When you get busy taking care of everyone, with little or no time with yourself,  your cup-of-giving is going to run dry and you'll have nothing left for anyone - you , your family or those around you.

When you make time every day to care for yourself you start to refill your cup doing the things you love and small acts of self-care – then your cup will be overflowing with love, joy, creativity and inspiration.

You also need time alone time – away from Facebook and friends and social media, check in with yourself to see how YOU are doing. Get in touch with your soul.

7. Live intentionally and mindfully

Be completely in the present and savor every moment. Be present 100% in everything you do or are involved in, be with work, relationships or play. Live with purpose and gratitude.


Once you start to live while practicing these little steps of self-care, you'll see more positive changes in yourself and everything around you.Once you start to radiate with health, vitality and positivity, that's exactly what you'll find coming more towards you!
